Erin was all smiles when I first saw her getting her make-up on at the CJ Cochran Salon. Just as a bride should be on her wedding day. She had everything planned - right down to the Mrs. Bruno hanger her wedding dress hung on. One special highlight for me was Christopher's toast honoring their parents. It was very touching and brought tears and laughter by all.

Chris and Erin's wedding ceremony was held at the St. Mary Mother of Hope in New Castle followed by a reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.

I just love this couple. I remember when I first met them for their engagement session. They were up for anything - even in the scorching, sticky weather that we were having. We traveled down to a creek in Ellwood City and then over to a barn owned by a friend. Through it all, they kept smiling and laughing, even when I knew that the heat was making them as miserably hot as I was. Humidity is my sworn enemy.

Brooke & Christopher held their ceremony at the Holy Family Church in New Brighton. Their reception was held at the SNPJ in Enon Valley with Scott, of Magic Moments, entertaining the guests.

julie & matthew 7.2.11

I am always a little bit nervous when I don't get to meet the bride and groom before their wedding due to distance. However, I knew I would like Julie when she told me about her dog stealing some cookies she had just made while we were talking on the phone. She just seemed so good natured. I wasn't wrong.

The ride to Uniontown is a long one, but it allowed for some great conversation with my partner in crime, Beth Spence. The only hitch came when the GPS took us to the wrong house due to a glitch in addresses or something. A couple minutes later, all was well.

Julie and Matthew held their wedding at the St. George Maronite Catholic Church. Their ceremony followed at the infamous Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. I could photograph their all day! Such a beautiful resort.

Sometimes when you least expect it, someone comes into your life and changes it forever. Maureen and John are two examples of finding unexpected love. I love their story. It was a privilege to photograph their wedding.

The wedding took place at the First Baptist Church in New Castle followed by a reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.

Jinkees, I am behind with my blogging. This summer is flying by!

This was a wedding where I really wanted to put down my camera and join in. One problem when you are photographing a wedding, it is really difficult to mingle with friends. I am always afraid I am going to miss something.

Amy and Joel held their ceremony and reception at The Edgeworth Club in Sewickley. The country club has a gorgeous staircase that we used for Amy & Joel's first look before their ceremony. One highlight for me was when Amy's father played the violin during their ceremony. Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe the moment.

Shannon and Stephen held their ceremony at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellwood City. Afterwards, everyone celebrated at the Fez in Aliquippa.

I have to say, I was more than worried about the weather we were having. To say it was raining, was putting it mildly. I knew we needed a back-up plan in case the rain didn't stop. Fortunately, the ceremony was held in Ellwood Ciy - close to a friend's house that had access to a barn! When I told Shannon of my plans to shoot some photos of the Bridal Party in the barn, she was delighted. Little did I know she actually had cowboy boots for a dance number she was preforming at her reception. I love it when a plan comes together.

Dana and Brandon held their ceremony and reception at the Double Tree Hotel in Moon Township, PA. I must say we were quite lucky we didn't get rained on considering it was an outside wedding in April. There is something about outside weddings that I love to photograph. You can't beat the colors!

Stacy & Kevin 1.22.11

Stacy and Kevin were married at the Immaculate Conception Church in Washington, Pa. Their reception was held at the most charming hotel I have been to in a long time. The George Washington Hotel had rooms dedicated to famous people that stayed overnight. Stacy stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room. Kevin, of course, was in the presidential suite.

And now for the stunning bride.

I will say one thing about the day...it was bone-chilling cold! Trying to work the controls on my camera when my fingers were numb wasn't easy. Stacy and Kevin were such sports posing outside.

Just to clarify, Kevin is reacting to his brother's toast in this photo.

One thing I loved to do during this wedding was watch Kevin when he was watching Stacy. Here he was watching Stacy dance with her mother. His eyes say it all.

This photo has to be one of my all-time favorite reception photos. The energy in this photo really captures the emotions on the dance floor.

The little boy seems to be saying, "What am I supposed to do with this again."

Lindsay & Ryan were married at St. John R.C. Church in Uniontown. Their reception was held at the beautiful Horizon Point at Nemacolin. I must say, the view from the balcony during their cocktail hour was spectacular. In fact, everything about this wedding was spectacular. Once the band started everyone had a great time on the dance floor!

Kari Ann & Dominick were married at the Saint Benedict Chruch in Greensburg. I must say, it took everything we could manage to keep things from flying away. There was a severe wind advisory. I always worried about rainy weather on wedding days. At least with rain you can seek shelter or use an umbrella. Wind, well, let's just say I am sure my hair was quite the mess. The bridesmaids seeked shelter while the groomsmen braved the elements. Despite the weather, a good time was held by all.

The reception was held at the Eleanor Roosevelt Hall in Norvelt. There was plenty of action on the dance floor!

Beth and Peter had a lovely ceremony at the Beaver Methodist Church with a reception following at the Beaver Valley Golf Club. Beth looked absolutely stunning in her gown. Of course, the rest of the bridal party looked pretty good too.

I also want to welcome Beth to College Square Elementary. Imagine my surprise as I walked into the office and saw her sitting there. When she told me she was going to be our new music teacher, I couldn't have been happier. I know you will love it here, Beth! Looking forward to working with you.

What can I say about Sherri and Jon-Paul's wedding? It truly was an honor to photograph. Last year I was at the same church photographing Sherri's mother, Donna, as she married Dave. Watching Donna watch her daughter get married in the SAME spot in the SAME church by the SAME minister (Donna's father/Sherri's grandpa) made me go fuzzy inside. There are some moments that just get to me...this was one.

The wedding was held at the First United Methodist Church. Their reception followed at the Mayernik Center in Pittsburgh.

How can I call what I do a job when you get to work with couples like Jenna and Ian? I have been blessed with such awesome couples.

Their wedding was held at the Harbison Chapel in Grove City. This was the first time I was at the Grove City Campus and I must say, it was quite beautiful. We then traveled to The Corinthian for the reception where Scott Miser of Magic Moments handled the entertainment.

I confess, my absolute favorite time to photograph during a wedding is when I get my couples alone. I honestly did not want to release Jenna & Ian to go to the reception. I could have photographed them the entire evening. Such a stunning couple!

Introducing the new Mr. & Mrs. Scott. Katie and Bryan were married at the Good Samaritan Parish in Ambridge and held their reception at St. Frances Cabrini also in Ambridge. I must say it was a delight to share this day with them. Thank you, Jessica for assisting me during the day!

You have no idea what it took to get Katie into her gown. I was laughing as I watched the girls actually reading directions to figure the back out. Awwww...the price of beauty. I would say it was all worth it. Katie looked absolutely beautiful.

Scott looked pretty good himself, I must say.

These families KNOW how to have a good time. The dance floor was always filled.

kiersten & matt 10.31.09

Kiersten & Matt held their ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver. Their reception was held at Rolling Acres. Kiersten's gown was a real showstopper. I loved how she described it..."Business up front, with a party in the back." When she turned around, the gown just flowed down in cascades. Gorgeous. It went great with her theme...peacock feathers. Her bouquet was just breathtaking.

Another trend I am beginning to see at receptions is the candy bar. Western Pennsylvania is known for having the infamous "cookie table." However, some brides are choosing to switch this tradition with candy instead. My daughters REALLY love this switch! First thing they always ask me is if I have any treats for them when I come home from a wedding. Boy, were they excited when I gave them their bag of candy.

Love this one of Kiersten. So soft and pretty.

I have never seen cream colored peacock feathers. Truly unique.

It was a bit chilly taking photos outside at the end of October. You would never know it based on how happy Kiersten looks. We found some overgrown weeds and had some fun taking photos.

I didn't forget Matt.
